SEEING, LISTENING, BELIEVING - the art of magic illuminates the magic of music.

Magic at the Symphony sets some of the most breathtaking illusions in magic against the beauty and drama of symphonic classics to create a truly unique entertainment experience.

Magic at the Symphony combines the talents of America’s great orchestras with the mystery and grace of Master Illusionist LYN DILLIES, giving audiences an unforgettable new appreciation for the majesty of classical music.

A pioneer in her field, Lyn Dillies reigns as ’America’s Premier Female Illusionist’

Thus acclaimed by the Society of American Magicians, Lyn is also the winner of the prestigious Merlin Award from the International Magician’s Society.

She developed a love for classical music early on. Lyn’s grandfather, Kenneth Park, filled the First Violinist chair when Arthur Fielder, then conductor of the Boston Pops, toured the area. Lyn has enjoyed being a professional performer for more than twenty years. She stars nationwide at performing arts centers, resorts, and at corporate and special events. Lyn has created magic history twice with her unique work using elephants.

Back in 2000, Lyn took on a new challenge with her show. Calling upon her classical music instincts, she brainstormed an original program combining her magic and illusions with some of the popular classics played by a full symphony orchestra. “The result,” Lyn says, “has been the most profound, artistic experience of my career. Every symphony engagement is exhilarating. It’s so satisfying to feel that we are gifting new audiences, especially children, with a new appreciation of time-honored classics.”

“Your skill, timing, style, and choice of routines were not only spectacular, but also extremely appropriate for each musical moment. The audience took away with them a fresh, new sense of the magical qualities in these symphonic works.”

    - Rodney Martell, Artistic Administrator,
      Virginia Symphony

“We presented Lyn Dillies’ Magic at the Symphony to a sold out crowd that was comprised of adults and children of all ages. We think that Lyn’s concert will be one that they will remember all their lives.

We strongly recommend Lyn’s program with symphonies as one that truly does illuminate the magic of music.”

    - Chloe Illoway, Cheyenne Symphony Orchestra

“I can’t begin to tell you how much we enjoyed working with you and how tremendous the audience feedback has been about your performances with the orchestra.

Your program has proven to be the most effective family concert we’ve ever presented.Of course, our underwriters are thrilled!”
    - Krystyn Hartman, Grand Junction Symphony Orchestra

“Magic at the Symphony exceeded our expectations.

It was the most captivating show we have ever had and the largest attended family show we’ve had in five years.

It was a SELL-OUT! Bravo!”
    - Matt Garbutt, Conductor, San Diego Symphony

“Lyn Dillies was a perfect fit for our November Pops concert. Lyn was prepared, professional, and above all, highly entertaining.

The audience and orchestra alike were completely spellbound by her skilled illusions. Most importantly, I appreciated how important the music was to her during the planning and execution of the program. She never took the orchestra for granted and that meant a lot to me. Please know I plan to spread the word about this engaging and exciting family Pops show.”

     - Jeff Bram, Director of Artistic Planning, Utah Symphony

“What does magic have to do with Mozart and Mussorgsky? Enough, it turns out to entertain a sold-out crowd in Abravanel Hall. From the opening moments of Friday‘s concert, when guest artist Lyn Dillies produced Utah Symphony assistant conductor David Cho out of thin air, to her final elaborate switcheroo with assistant Marc Leblanc, the affable illusionist had the crowd applauding her every move.”

    - The Salt Lake Tribune

“The response to this dynamic performance was astounding! Without question, this program brought us a wider audience and boosted symphony revenues. Magic at the Symphony is the perfect program for Pops, youth, family concerts, as well as educational outreach.”

    - Lonnie Klein, Conductor, Las Cruces Symphony

“…Dillies succeeds in her goal of showing audiences the music in magic and the magic in music.”
    - The Wichita Eagle
